Access control and intrusion detection

• The anti-burglary alarm system is designed to prevent unauthorized entry of persons into certain spaces, through presence detection, opto-acoustic alarming, and silent remote alarming of intervention crews. From a component perspective, such a system consists of:
• Cable routes, the network itself that allows transmission of signals from sensors/detectors to the detection/intrusion panel.
• Detection elements – various equipment that functionally detect presence
• Command keypads – peripheral equipment through which the user can operate the system
• Alarm panel – the main equipment to which all system elements are connected and which manages the entire assembly
• Alarm transmission equipment (communicators) – receive all signals from the panel and transmit them further to predefined users, who may be the rapid intervention dispatch center or other persons with access rights
• Opto-acoustic warning equipment – devices through which an anti-burglary system signals unauthorized entry using sound and/or warning lights. The access control system is the assembly of equipment with the role of physically protecting certain spaces against access by unauthorized persons, consisting of:
• Access control panel – receives information from associated equipment, decides to block or unblock access to the respective area, stores information received from them, keeps records and displays temporal and spatial information regarding access
• Magnetic card reader
• Proximity card reader
• Access keypad
• Fingerprint or iris reader
• Magnalock
• Accumulator
• Computer – in situations where access control or verification software is used
• Timekeeping software – required for recording working hours or verifying entries/exits of persons using the access control system.
